My problem is my products get moldy once monsoon starts. Varnishing helps but in case of thin flowers varnishing spoils the look

I remember my sister doing this in the late 60s. I would like to start doing this but have no idea what to buy. I saw a video that said after dipping, you need to use a uv light to cure it. I have a black light flashlight, would that work? Also I see you are dipping them into colored I guess resin, is that better than using clear then painting it? When I looked, there are so many different "resins" to buy that I don't know what is best for a starter. We used to call it liquid glass so I have no clue what I am doing. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I have that same Mini Heart cutter when I trimmed my Shih Tzu, I took some of the trimmed hair and needle felted it using the Heart. An adorable trinket kept in a pill tin.

This is new to me, I feel like the only person who has never seen this before. What are you dipping it in?? How do I make that? I get the wire shaping part but I have no idea what’s going on with the dip. 😢

I have come back to this video after almost a decade and yours is the one that introduced me to needle felting :') I remember being OBSESSED and dying to try it and not having the funds or knowing where to get good supplies for it at least back then. I have supplies in my many-craft inventory and it's a craft I keep returning to ^.^

In the late 60s "67, 68, 69" there was a huge downfall to this product. I know it created a lot of adicts "Luckily I was not one of them!" Before you even got to dipping your first or second leaf shaped wire in the "can" of this crap , you would be stoned out of your trees "high as a kite" from the fumes of it. The fumes were so strong that anyone sitting in the same room 5 feet away would be high from the fumes of it. Back then there were very little to no warnings on products as there is today.

This was a craft I learned in Brownies as a child. Where do you get the supplies from?

What is the liquid?

I keep either undercooking or overcooking and you would think that would help me learn when to stop but I'm really getting frustrated because I can't seem to get it right. do you have any advice????

So I did an experiment and made two different recipes of porcelain clay. One where the wet ingredients are 1 tbsp each and another doing the 2 tbsp you mention in this video (and I've seen in other recipes). I'm not sure if I didn't let the clay cook enough times or what I did wrong but I had to add so much extra cornstarch because it was incredibly sticky and would not form those tear-drop shapes when pulled apart. I also stored it in the fridge for a day but I'm not sure if I kept it in there too long and that's why it turned out bad. Would love some input and advice on how you got it to that lovely consistency when you did the 2 tbsp version of the recipe. Thank you and love your video ☺💗

My clay has the perfect consistency but somehow it is way too soft to work with. It is impossible to make sculptures etc., what should I do to make it firmer? Should I add more cornflour??
